Welcome to Alami ("Alami," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Alami mobile application (the "App"), website, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and:

The Services are intended for users aged 18 or older. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Important: At this time, Alami does not implement formal age verification. If you are under 18, you must not use the Services.

3.1 Account Creation

When creating or using an account, you agree that:

• you will provide accurate and complete information,
• you will keep your account information up to date,
• you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account, and
• you will notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

3.2 User Conduct

You agree to:

• use Alami only for legitimate environmental cleanup and community purposes,
• provide truthful information about cleanups and related submissions,
• respect other users and the community,
• follow all local laws and regulations, and
• not attempt to manipulate the Trash Coins system, verification, rankings, or rewards.

4.1 How Trash Coins Work

• Trash Coins may be earned through cleanup and community activities, subject to Alami's verification and rules.
• Verification may include automated and/or community-based checks.
• Trash Coins have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash (unless explicitly stated in writing by Alami in the future), and cannot be sold or transferred outside the Services.
• We may adjust earning rules, verification methods, values, limits, or eligibility at any time to protect fairness and prevent abuse.

4.2 Rewards and Partners

• Rewards may be offered by third-party partners.
• Reward availability may vary and can be changed or removed at any time.
• Partner products/services are the responsibility of the partner. Alami is not responsible for partner offerings.
• Rewards may expire and are generally not exchangeable for cash.

5.1 DropPoints

If Alami provides "DropPoints" or designated disposal locations:

• you must follow posted guidelines and dispose only appropriate materials,
• you must report issues or damage where relevant,
• you understand DropPoints may be operated by third parties and availability can change.

5.2 Community Events

• Participation in community events is voluntary and at your own risk.
• You must follow safety guidelines and local regulations.
• Event organizers are responsible for their events, instructions, and compliance with local rules.
• We may cancel, limit, or modify events or event visibility to protect users or the service.

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of photos and content you submit ("User Content"). However, by submitting User Content you grant Alami a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content only as necessary to operate, improve, and promote the Services (e.g., feeds, event pages, impact views, community visibility).

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content:

• does not violate laws,
• does not infringe third-party rights,
• is not misleading (including fake cleanup claims).

We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or harms the community.

6.2 Our Content

The Services (including design, text, graphics, logos, software) are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. Our trademarks/logos may not be used without authorization.

You may not:

• submit false or misleading information about cleanup activities,
• attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the Services,
• create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages,
• manipulate verification, rewards, or ranking systems,
• harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users,
• spam or send unsolicited communications, or
• violate any applicable laws or regulations.

Alami may offer voluntary ways to support the project financially via PayPal and/or Stripe. Payment processing is handled by the payment providers under their own terms and policies. Availability and options may change over time.

We strive to keep the Services available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may temporarily affect availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."
• We do not guarantee that cleanups, submissions, or rewards will be verified or granted.
• We do not guarantee that partner rewards will be available or suitable.
• You are responsible for your safety and actions while participating in cleanups/events.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alami shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g., intent, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer protection rules).

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• you violate these Terms,
• you engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities,
• you provide false information, or
• we are required to do so by law.

You may delete your account at any time (if the feature is available). Upon termination, access to Trash Coins, rewards, and related benefits may be forfeited.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, unless mandatory local consumer laws require otherwise.

Where legally permissible, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Düsseldorf, Germany.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App, the Website, or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
